EMPOWERING TEEN MOMS
and Adolescents in Kenya
A safe space offering hope and opportunity
Inspire Teenagers Foundation
is a grassroots organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable adolescents and teen mothers in the arid and semi-arid regions of Kenya, with a focus on survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

Our Story
Founded by Susan Wairimu, whose personal experiences include teenage pregnancy, the organization provides crucial psychosocial support, comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education, valuable vocational training, and impactful leadership development.
Her journey is a testament to resilience. Having grown up in poverty and experienced teenage pregnancy, she understands the challenges faced by the young women that Inspire Teenagers serves.
Her determination to complete her exams even from a maternity ward fueled her passion to help others. She founded House of Hope in 2019, later renamed Inspire Teenagers, to ensure that other girls do not have to face the same struggles. Her personal experience and unwavering commitment are at the heart of the organization's mission.

WE ENVISION A FUTURE WHERE
Every teenage mother and adolescent can achieve their full potential in a world free from discrimination.
Our Programs

Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights
We provide education on reproductive health, family planning, and menstrual hygiene. We distribute sanitary products to prevent transactional sex for pads, which can lead to teenage pregnancy and girls missing school. Our goal is to ensure young women have the resources and knowledge to make informed decisions and lead healthier lives.

Mental Health Support
We Focus on essential mental health support for teen mothers and adolescents, offering a safe space for healing and emotional well-being. Recognizing the trauma many carry, we create a supportive environment where they can express themselves, receive counseling, and access resources to cope with stress, anxiety, and past experiences. Our aim is to help them build resilience, improve mental health, and break free from the emotional barriers that hinder their potential.

Life Skills and Leadership Development
We focus on empowering teen mothers and adolescents through courses that build confidence and independence. we also use photovoice storytelling to amplify their voices for change. Our programs equip them with the tools to overcome challenges, lead purposefully, and drive positive transformation.

Educational Support
Through scholarships, tailored tutoring, and dedicated academic guidance, we empower the affected teenage mothers Kenya to overcome challenges, unlock their potential, and achieve educational success without interruption.

Sustainable Livelihoods
We create sustainable livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty through Vocational Training, mentorship, and job placement to promote economic independence. by focusing on digital training and green jobs, we empower teen mothers with the skills needed to thrive in today's economy.

Parenting Education
Workshops are conducted covering essential parenting skills, child development, proper nutrition and healthy habits to support both mother and child.

Our Climate Justice Program
We recognize the critical role that climate change plays in shaping the future of women and girls, particularly in rural and marginalized communities. Our Climate Justice Program focuses on climate adaptation and mitigation, with a special emphasis on climate-smart agriculture.
By equipping women and girls with the knowledge and skills to implement sustainable farming practices, we help enhance their resilience to climate change impacts. These practices not only improve food security but also contribute to environmental preservation and economic empowerment. We advocate for women’s participation in climate policy and decision-making, ensuring gender-responsive approaches to climate action.
Through community-led initiatives, we aim to empower women and girls to adapt to climate challenges, while promoting sustainable practices that support both their livelihoods and the planet’s future.
